Considering the subtle and complicated nature of the challenges facing our country on its way to democracy, we need to take strategically organized actions in line with the local context. Following projects are current initiatives for our community:
GUEST AND CHAT
Would you like to contemplate local context of civil society in Myanmar for your study or for decisions making? Be our guest and we willl help with your understanding of most critical issues and opportunities of civil society in Myanmar. Our experience and lesson-learn since our establishment might be useful for you and your organization.
Myanmar Bulletin is being run to provide a filtered collection of systematically archived information (in Burmese) to civil society leaders so that they can be updated on the latest news in Myanmar in a short time. There will be three types of Bulletins: daily, weekly and monthly editions.
Democracy Center is a space where civil society, government and political parties can meet, share information and collaborate. As an impartial and nonpartisan atmosphere for building trust, events, seminars and workshops organized in the center is be of vital importance not only for sharing information but also for enhancing cooperation between key stakeholders.
Civics Now is a civic education through multimedia platform that aims to raise civic awareness among the citizens who uses the internet. Currently, the initial phase (a Facebook page) is active with thousands of followers, and more other activities are on the way.
Pandita Development Institute (Pandita) has been officially registered pursuant to the Association Registration Law No.31.2014; a domestic nonprofit association registered at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) with the endorsement of the Ministry of Information (MOI).
